Pete Eckert FMP

This is some photography work from Pete Eckert. He is blind and started photography after he lost his sight. He believes that he is a visual person and sees things with his mind which enables him to create the art that he does.

I find this very interesting and this is part of where i'm going to steer my FMP. I want to investigate into how blind people, among other people that I will look into, perceive the world. I want to see how they view things, the struggles they have and how they are able, in some cases, to create such stunning work like that of Pete Eckert.

I am also going to look into people that have schizophrenia and other conditions that basically can affect peoples perceptual view of the world. I will investigate into these conditions, how it affects them and try to discover the way in which they view the world around them. I will then try to create their views from the knowledge I gain. I hope to create some interesting pieces of work, whilst also creating some awareness on the conditions.

Record sleeves

I found these record sleeves really interesting as they all have a description as to the inspiration and thought process for the final piece. This is interesting because it outlines the concept for each design and shows purpose. It has really give me something to think about when thinking of my designs as to why Im designing them in that way, whats the concept and the relation to the music style.

Diggin' through some records!!!!!

I searched through the vast pile of my records to look for some inspiration. These are some of the most interesting ones I could find.

24 Hour Party People!!!

I really enjoyed the film we watched and found it very inspiring. I had a look on the factory records website and found some interesting posters for the bands which could help with the inspiration for the record label brief!
